Sweden & AMerica — Nordic Reach

Sweden & America under Swedish News’s management saw rapid growth—it covered contemporary Stockholm and Göteborg, a migrating cuisine and immigrant chefs. Sweden & America covered every aspect of life in Sweden and Swedish America; Design, past and present. Sweden’s hottest furniture designers, the new global management trend from Sweden and the true definition of a smålänning. An introduction to the world’s most malodorous dish, and the world’s most Swedish experience, the smörgåsbord. Plus, how to make your own gravlax—it’s easy, once you know how. In one of the later issues, the magazine’s editor and publisher, Ulf Mårtensson or Ulf Barslund Martensson flew to Stockholm only weeks after the events of 9/11/2001 for an exclusive interview with Sweden’s then Prime Minister Göran Persson about Sweden’s postition after the horrendous act.

The saga continues...
The relaunch towards the end of 2002, under the new name Nordic Reach — America’s magazine on the Nordic countries, for those in America who love Scandinavia — has been a great success. In a dynamic mix of features, interviews and lifestyle coverage, Nordic Reach keeps an ever-growing subscription base in tune with design, technology, active living and the social and cultural background of Europe’s most advanced nations, now and from an historical perspective.
While maintaining a high quality, contemporary magazine for the Nordic Americans and Americans with an interest in Scandinavia, Swedish News, Inc. also continues to publish books in Scandinavian language, on Scandinavia, and the oldest periodical publication of Sweden in America, Nordstjernan,
the Swedish North Star.
